چکیده

Liquid organic hydrogen carriers (LOHCs) are attractive materials for their ability to generate in situ that may be directly used produce target biofuel precursors, fuels or fuel additives. Indeed, the replacement of fossil feedstock is an urgent necessity shifting toward a carbon neutral energy economy. Several desired chemicals and derived from renewable sources can accessed by hydrogenation reactions among LOHCs this purpose, formic acid small-sized alcohols (methanol isopropanol) represent very promising alternatives classic dangerous molecular hydrogen. In review article, comprehensive overview about mechanisms hydrogen-transfer processes different given. This evaluation necessary large-scale implementation sustainable production. The catalysts’ design rationale criteria behind choice appropriate reaction conditions reviewed detail, since they crucial parameters generation. Also domino/cascade-type influence LOHC selection, promoting realization cost saving protocols step atom economical way.

Hydrogen and Ethanol as Potential Alternative Fuels Compared to Gasoline under Improved Exhaust Gas Recirculation

In the present study, a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method have been utilized to investigate the effects of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and initial charge pressure by means of using a supercharger on the emissions and performance of a SI engine. This engine is fueled separately by gasoline and two potential alternative fuels, hydrogen and ethanol. The results of simulation are compar...

Oxygen Reduction and Hydrogen Production at the Liquid/Liquid interfaces

Molecular electrocatalysis for oxygen reduction at a polarized water/1,2-dichloroethane (DCE) interface was studied, involving aqueous protons, ferrocene (Fc) in DCE and cobalt porphyrin catalysts like cobalt porphine (CoP) cobalt 2,8,13,17-tetraethyl-3,7,12,18-tetramethyl-5-p-aminophenylporphyrin (CoAP) at the interface. The reaction is electrocatalytic as its rate depends on the applied Galva...
